The Cape Breton Highlander Ride

Baddeck, Nova Scotia - March 7, 2020

This Ride is an opportunity for Atlantic Canadians to once again get together as a snowmobile group to support a local charity.  We may only see some of our “winter friends” at this event once a year and look forward to coming together as a community to show our support to charities as we have in the past with the “Ride for Dad”.

To provide a fun ride for Nova Scotia snowmobilers and raise funds for worthwhile charities and causes. Our goal this year is to “give back to our community”.

Charity of Choice

L’Arche Cape Breton. L’Arche is a community for people with intellectual disabilities.  L’Arche demonstrates that with friendship, belonging, and the opportunity to contribute their gifts, people with intellectual disabilities flourish and their lives make a difference. They take a variety of valued roles – employees, volunteers, leaders, artists, teachers, friends, and family – contributing to the lives of their families, friends and communities.

Living with difference and vulnerability is challenging, yet L’Arche demonstrates that when all people, including the most marginalized, take their place, society becomes more human – more colourful, welcoming, creative, compassionate, and joyful.

We are very excited to be supporting this organization and it’s fundamental values as a snowmobile group.

Also, a portion of the funds raised will also be for groomer expenses to keep our Cape Breton Trails ready and waiting for everyone to enjoy!
